| 4th May | Bonsai Fuchsia Group meeting at Peter Lewis’s address |
| 6th May | General cultivation of fuchsias, including pests and diseases with Ron Holmes |
| 3rd June | Orchids with Andy Phillips |
| 1st July | Have fuchsia, will exhibit with Peter Messenger (New Forest Fuchsia) |
| 26th & 27th July | Annual show – Show judge is Mrs Hazel Blackburn |
| 5th August | No meeting |
| 19th August | Coach trip to Wisley (members only) – B.F.S. 70th Anniversary |
| 2nd September | Presentation of cups & trophies. Followed by the history of Solent Fuchsia Club. (Slides & photographs) |
| 7th October | Looking back over the 2008 seasons successes and failures with Mr Barry Nash (B.F.S. President) |
| 4th November | A.G.M. |
| 2nd December | Demonstration of Christmas table decoration, with members then making their own. Followed by an American Supper |
