Solent Fuchsia Club,
Annual Show 2012

Solent Fuchsia Club motif It was decided at the Club’s November 2011 AGM meeting, that it would be in the best interest to all local fuchsia enthusiasts and fuchsia growers in general, if the Solent Fuchsia Club Annual Show for 2012 was cancelled.

The reason for this sad decision is that the recent attack of Fuchsia Gall Mite has reached this immediate vicinity. Unfortunately, two of our members have fuchsia plants that are infected with this menacing pest. Rather than choose to hold our beloved Show, (something we as members really look forward to) and the possibility of spreading the disease to even more plants in the immediate area, the committee took the initiative and decided it was the right and proper thing to cancel the Show for 2012.

We hope that this is only a temporary arrangement and the course of events will return to normal for 2013. A map showing the locaton of Titchfield Community Centre
